Weekend Reading for January 18, 2013

In the United States, gun regulation seems to be the new great divide in the country.  Ahead of Biden’s gun recommendations, the NRA released a commercial asking if the President’s children are more important than other children because they have armed guards protecting them while they are in school while our children don’t.  Democrats are calling foul while gun enthusiasts agree that the commercial is spot on.

Here is what I am reading this weekend:

A Developer Was Caught Outsourcing His Own Job to China:  The Inquirer  Well, at least you could say this guy was creative and earning a great income while doing nothing.  Now bosses have one more thing to look out for.

Investing for Retirement Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated:  Betterment  Follow these 4 basic rules, and you will be in a strong financial position when you are ready to retire.

Treasury Sees Cash Crunch as Soon as Mid-February:  WSJ  This scenario seems familiar.  Ah, yes, we were in the same position a few months ago.
