Lending Club (see my review of Lending Club) peer-to-peer investing concept seems to be getting more mainstream by the month. This might be related the low interest rates banks and other traditional bonds are paying out. Ironically in 2011, Lending Club won the Webby Award for the best Banking/Bill Paying site. Considering that Lending Club is NOT officially a bank like the other Webby competitors (US Bank and JPMorgan Chase), this was a great award to win.
