YCharts is a financial research service that delivers data on stocks and mutual funds. It’s cheaper than a Bloomberg terminal and yet provides much of the same information. This is not a product for beginner investors. If you’re a serious investor and looking for fundamental and technical charts, analysis and robust tools to manage your portfolio, YCharts is a solid choice. Its stock screener is one of the best and allows you to screen for advanced ratios and fundamental data that you cannot get on free alternatives. Its graphing functionality is the gold standard on the web, and easily beats out any of the free or commercial competitors.

As far as price, YCharts finds itself in the middle tier of equity research services. Compared to the Bloomberg terminal (over $25k/year), it is a steal. But when compared to all the free services out there, and even what’s available within your brokerage account, it can appear pricey. For example, the “Standard” plan starts at $2,400/year, while their flagship product, the “Professional” plan, starts around $4,800/year. It all depends on which tools you want access to.

Before purchasing YCharts, I highly recommend signing up for their 7-day free trial. It’s a big investment so make sure you like the dashboard and it delivers the level of analysis you’re seeking.
If you end up loving it, then you’re in luck! By using the link below, Investor Junkie readers get $500 knocked off the total price of a Professional YCharts subscription service. That means if the price of the Professional service is $4,800/year, that becomes only $4,300/year using our link! That’s $358/month. Considering YCharts has much of the same research power as Bloomberg Terminal, this is an excellent deal.
